Valmistan pajassani lähes kaikenlaisia sepäntöitä, mutta enimmäkseen kuitenkin erilaisia teräkaluja. Monet töistäni liittyvät jollaintapaa historiaan, ja osa onkin jäljennöksiä esimerkiksi rautakautisista esineistä. Valmistan kaikki tuotteeni alusta-loppuun itse.

I make many kind of smithy works, but mainly bladed things. Some of them, like swords for example, are historical replicas. I do all my products myself from start to finish.

I also make smithy works as commission. If you are interested, you can send me email to niskajarkk ät hotmail.com

In my gallery there is also some nature photos, which I have snapped when hunting or hiking.

I was wondering if your swords could be used, and not just put on display? My cousins - two - are really into sword play. Every time they get a new sword they want to learn about it and use it. Could yours be used for sparring?

All my swords are made in similar construction as original ones, so they can be used just like originals.

Would you ever consider making a norwegian style viking sword? The ones with similar hilt and pommel to yours, but single edged?

Those single edged swords of iron age were not only norwegian thing. Many of them have been found from other nordic countries as well (including finland). Anyway, Im more into double edged blades. Though, ofcourse I would made one, if someone would commission such.

Ah, of course, excuse my ignorance. I know what you mean about the double edged swords though, they have a finesse about them. Those single edged were more of cleavers I imagine. Are all of your swords commissions?

Not all are commissions. Well, some single edged swords were pretty heavy, and maybe clumsy too. But there is also some with really fine narrow blade, which may have been at least as easy to handle than any double edged blades.
