Spearhead from later viking age. Image shows both sides of the head.

Somehow alike petersen type H. Forge welded construction. Blade is dull, so that it is bossible to use this in living history fighting.

how did you construct the socket?

The blade and socket are both forged from same, pretty thick, piece of steel.

After roughly shaped the blade i flattened the material for the socket and turned that to the shape. Then i closed the seam by forge welding. After that i added the collar to where the blade and socket meet, and forge welded that to its place. Lastly i forged the blade to its final shape.
